Discuss three of the outcomes used in the evaluation of training programs (15marks)

Reaction outcomes refer to trainees’ perceptions of the program including the facilities, trainers and content. Reaction outcomes can be measured via questionnaires or interviews related to trainees’ satisfaction with the instructor, training materials and training administrations for example clarify course objectives and usefulness of the training programs.
Learning or cognitive outcomes are used to determine the degree to which trainees are familiar with the principles, facts, techniques, procedures and process emphasized in the training. It can be measured by using test before and after the training to measure the knowledge.
Behavior outcomes used to assess the level of technical or motor skills and behaviors. The outcomes include how trainees acquire learning and applied the learning to the job. It can be measured by observed trainees performance before and after the training or by giving work sample and ratings by peers, customers or managers.
